ACCOMPLISHMENT:
Drafted regulatory structure for shale energy. Shell was a leader in oil shale technology, sought out by the BLM for advice on regulation of oil shale development. Drafted royalty structure that was favorable to Shell to encourage industry growth, meeting government need for a fair return. Bureau incorporated comments into final regulations.

Associate Director, External and Intergovernmental Affairs, US Hired as liaison for the Secretary of DOI. Created and executed outreach strategies on key departmental issues. Prepared briefings, speeches and represented the Secretary publicly. Interfaced with other key energy agencies including Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, and Office of Surface Mining.
ACCOMPLISHMENT:
Gained support of labor groups. The administration sought to drill in a new area and labor support was critical. Scheduled meeting between major labor groups and the Secretary, providing talking points for discussion. Won assistance from labor in support of legislation.

Designed/implemented the largest grassroots program in the Nevada history, creating/managing communications, voter contact strategies and outreach. Managed attendance of 11 governors at inaugural events. Led staff of five and thousands of volunteers.

Established major network of campaign volunteers. Selected to manage presidential campaign in NV and required massive group of people to work campaign. Designed and implemented recruiting plan and set metrics for success. Recruited 14,000 volunteers and made one million voter contacts leading to victory in the state.

Redesigned all campus outreach and training programs that constitute half of the Instituteâs budget. Doubled the number of conservative campus organizations, started more campus newspapers than ever before, and trained the largest number of students in the history of the Institute.
